Dear Parents/Carers,
Holiday Revision Guidance for Year 11 Students
As we approach the holiday season, it's important to strike a balance between revision and family time for our Year 11 students. While we encourage continued academic focus, we also recognize the importance of spending quality time with family.
Here are some key points to help support your child's revision over the holidays:
-
Importance of Revision: Consistent revision is crucial, especially as students prepare for their upcoming exams. The holiday period offers a valuable opportunity to reinforce learning and address any gaps in understanding.
-
Effective Revision Techniques: There are numerous ways to revise - we recommend using the Cornell Notes method for efficient revision. This technique involves dividing a page into three sections: notes, cues, and summary. It helps students organize their thoughts and improve retention. For more information on how to use Cornell Notes, please watch this helpful video: Cornell Notes Explained.
